Close-Up 2008

Four countries, six cities: In 2008 the journalists’ exchange project Close-Up had its first round. As a pilot programme of the Culture and Development initiative, it enabled six reporters from Germany and from Islamic countries to experience a new perspective in journalism. In each case, two journalists exchanged their workplaces from October until December 2008. The project was funded by the German Foreign Office’s Task Force for Dialogue with Islamic Countries.

Take part in the experiences of the six journalists and their fascinating city portraits from Berlin, Lagos, Munich, Abidjan, Beirut and Frankfurt.
